Product Overview

The TDRT Series Three Phase DIN Rail Power Supply is an industrial-grade SMPS designed for high-power, space-constrained automation cabinets. With a wide 3-phase input range of 340~550VAC and power ratings of 480W and 960W, this series provides rock-solid 24V or 48V DC power. Equipped with built-in active PFC and DC OK relay contacts, the TDRT series ensures high efficiency and seamless integration into modern control systems.

Features

  • Ultra-Slim Metal Case: The highly compact physical design saves critical space on the DIN rail, allowing for denser cabinet layouts.

  • Three-Phase Wide Input: Accepts 3∅, 340~550VAC input, making it directly compatible with global industrial grid voltages without neutral wires.

  • High Efficiency: Advanced switching topology delivers up to 94.5% efficiency, drastically reducing waste heat and cooling requirements.

  • Built-In Active PFC: Ensures a high power factor, minimizing reactive power loss and meeting strict industrial harmonic current standards.

  • Industrial Rail Mounting: Designed to snap easily and securely onto standard TS-35 / 7.5 or 15 DIN rails.

  • DC OK Relay Contact: Provides a hardwired signal to PLCs or monitoring systems, instantly alerting operators if the DC output fails.

Three-Phase Input Explained

Unlike standard single-phase power supplies, the TDRT series taps directly into the 3-phase AC power available in heavy industrial environments. This eliminates the need to balance high-power single-phase loads across the facility's phases. Furthermore, three-phase input results in significantly lower input currents, allowing the use of thinner, more cost-effective wiring and smaller circuit breakers, reducing overall installation costs.

TDR-480 vs TDR-960 Comparison

Choosing the right model depends on your system's power demands:

  • TDR-480: Delivers 480W of rated power (e.g., 20A at 24V). Its shorter, more compact dimensions make it the perfect, cost-effective choice for medium-to-low power systems and smaller control boxes.

  • TDR-960: Delivers a massive 960W of rated power (e.g., 40A at 24V). Though longer and larger, this powerhouse is built for medium-to-high power systems, heavy motor loads, and centralized power supply architectures. It has a higher price point but provides unmatched capacity per inch of rail space.

Applications

The TDRT series is specifically engineered for demanding industrial environments. It is the ideal power backbone for factory automation, CNC machinery, large-scale motor control centers, and semiconductor fabrication equipment where three-phase power is standard and high reliability is critical.

FAQ

Q: Can the TDRT series operate if one of the three AC phases drops out (phase loss)?

A: While the unit is designed for 3-phase operation, you must check the detailed datasheet for specific phase-loss derating curves. Continuous operation on two phases usually requires significant load derating to prevent internal overheating.

Q: How do I use the DC OK relay contact?

A: The DC OK relay provides a dry contact closure. You can wire this contact directly to a digital input on your PLC or to a cabinet warning light. If the 24V/48V output drops below the acceptable threshold, the relay opens, instantly triggering your system's alarm.
